She expanded upon her experience as an associate at Energy Ventures Analysis, an energy-focused economic consulting firm in Rosslyn, Virginia. She has experience forecasting energy commodity prices and conducting electric power market modeling. She has performed regulatory impact analyses of federal policies like the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan and Mercury and Air Toxics Standard, the Office of Surface Mining’s Stream Protection Rule, and many others. She has also provided supporting materials for intervening parties in state and federal proceedings.
Katie founded Sandhill Strategy with Stefanie Miller in 2019 to provide institutional investors with predictive, rigorous, and unbiased regulatory and political risk analysis. The firm is registered as an investment advisor in the District of Columbia, New York, and Texas.
