Dr. K. Geert Rouwenhorst, Professor of Finance & Deputy Director of the International Center for Finance, Yale School of Management
Dr. Rouwenhorst specializes in international finance, asset pricing, and business cycles. His research examines the tradeoff between risk and return in international developed and emerging stock markets, strategies for portfolio selection, and the behavior of financial markets over the business cycle. Professor Rouwenhorst is well-known for his work on country selection and its impact on returns in global portfolios. His article “European Equity Markets and EMU: Are the Differences Between Countries Slowly Disappearing?” appeared in the Financial Analyst Journal in 1999. Since then, he has done research demonstrating industry effects are at least of similar magnitude.
