Peter Tertzakian is the Chief Energy Economist and a Director of ARC Financial Corporation, Canada’s largest private equity firm that focuses exclusively on the energy industry. He is also a member of ARC's Investment Committee. In addition to directing ARC’s economic research, Peter publishes ARC Energy Charts, a weekly journal of energy trends.
Peter began his career as a geophysicist with the Chevron Corporation in 1982 where he spent eight years working in field operations, seismic data processing and geophysical software development. In 1990, Peter left the oil and gas business and entered the financial services industry.
By the time he joined ARC Financial Corporation in 2002 Peter was a well-recognized, top ranked equity analyst among an institutional client base that spanned Canada, Europe and the United States.
Peter has an undergraduate degree in Geophysics from the University of Alberta, a graduate degree in Econometrics from the University of Southampton, U.K., and a Master of Science in Management of Technology from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
Peter is a member of the board of directors of Brigantine Energy Inc. and on the board of directors of the Honens International Piano Competition.
